The main object of this course is to promote students’ English writing skill to college level by introducing important writing strategies and addressing common writing problems. In the first semester, students will be asked to examine sample writings closely and critically, and to write paragraphs on assigned topics. Plenty of discussion will take place in class and active participation is highly required of students.
